Description

Between 1980 and 1983, progressive rock band K-On! ceased to exist. This was due to bassist Mio Akiyama needing time to think. In 1982 she met the talented guitarist and singer Sawako Yamanaka, and they started writing music with ex K-On! drummer Ritsu Tainaka under the name Literature. Somewhere down the line, original K-On! keyboardist Nao Okuda and singer Yui Hirasawa joined the trio, and they changed their name back to K-On! They're first reunion album was named after it's catalogue number 00962, and featured a more 'pop' sound than the original K-On!. The album was produced by Nodoka Manabe, who had previously replaced Yui as lead singer of the band on their 1980 album "Drama."

Based on the iconic cover of Yes's 1983 comeback album 90125! The title of this version comes from the catalogue number of the Ho-Kagou Tea Time mini-album. The design on the 90125's cover was in fact a stylized 'Y' (when they were planning on releasing it as Cinema, the design was a 'C',) but I decided to go with a teapot design instead.

You all know the legendary "Owner Of A Lonely Heart," so have a listen one of the other fantastic tracks from the album, It Can Happen!

K-on? 1980?
I always thought K-on happened in 2009.
