Houkago Tea-Time - The Early Years (Simple Minds)

The immortal Japanese teenage girls that are Houkago Tea-Time have decided to make it possible for you, yes you, to hear some of their earliest, pre-first album songs (with a few demos thrown in) with their new album, "The Early Years"! Oh wait, it was just withdrawn from stores, for some reason. We're not entirely sure why.

This is based on Simple Minds' hard to find and unfortunately overlooked 1998 release, "The Early Years: 1977 - 1978" [link] It was indeed pulled out of the stores virtually as soon as it was released, with no reason given. It is theorized that no one was able to figure out, or agree on, who financed the recordings, which were all from over 20 years ago and done somewhat unprofessionally. It will sometimes turn up online, and I happen to own a copy on MP3! Have a listen to one of my favorite tracks from the album, "18-18!" [link]
